Spring is Rolling with RTC Bike Share:
A Look Back, What’s Happening Now, and What’s Coming in May
March was a powerful kickoff to spring for RTC Bike Share, filled with meaningful events that brought people together and showcased how bikes can connect, inspire, and energize our city.
- At First Friday, we were thrilled with the amazing support this past weekend. Thanks to the extra help, we were able to inform over 100 visitors at our booth! We’ve been sharing details about the app, explaining the pricing structure for our passholders, and helping people locate the nearest stations. Despite the wind, we powered through and had some great conversations about biking—everything from requests for more stations on the north side of Vegas and even discovering new bike paths around the city.
- During ARTUOK, a student-led arts and wellness event, we had the opportunity to highlight how cycling supports mental and physical wellness. The event’s theme—emphasizing movement, creativity, and connection—aligned perfectly with our mission. Our booth was in full swing, with plenty of winners spinning the prize wheel! We gave away stickers, bum bags, journals, and pencils, and even had some dedicated RTC Bike Share riders stop by for a visit. With over 60 visitors, we made a strong impact!
- We also attended CABDA West, a premier bicycle industry trade show at the World Market Center. This event draws thousands of people from across the country, including industry professionals, vendors, and cycling enthusiasts. We had the amazing opportunity to host a booth and share what Las Vegas has to offer—which is RTC bike share! It was an inspiring couple of days filled with networking, fresh ideas, and a renewed sense of purpose in helping people move through their cities with ease and sustainability.

April has been full of energy and community connection! Here’s what we’ve been up to:
- First Friday: Our team kept the wheels turning with engagement in the city. We informed over 100 visitors about RTC Bike Share at our booth! As our brand continues to grow, we’re excited to keep informing, promoting, and practicing.
- TEDxLas Vegas: We were excited to collaborate with Club Ride to provide a ride for the TEDx Las Vegas event. Starting from Symphony Park. Participants followed a pre-planned route, with stops at Fergason’s for a quick refreshment and networking, Writer’s Block for a literary and creative pause, and Container Park for exploration and photos. Ride marshals ensured the group’s safety and pacing throughout the ride. This collaboration allowed us to combine the power of movement with TEDx’s focus on innovation and creativity, creating a unique and enjoyable experience for all involved.
- Nevada Preservation Ride: Our ride with the Nevada Preservation Foundation was nothing short of amazing. With over 20 enthusiastic riders, we explored some of Las Vegas’ most iconic and historic neighborhoods in a way that only a bike ride can offer—up close, unhurried, and full of discovery. As we cruised through the Alta Drive Historic Neighborhood and the Scotch Eight area, we passed former homes of notable and often surprising figures—many of which were unknown to the public. From the elegant residence of a former Mayor of Las Vegas to estates connected to Michael Jackson, mob-era icons, casino executives, and local legends, the ride gave us a rare glimpse into the layers of Las Vegas’ storied past.
- UNLV Campus Ride (Upcoming): We wrap up April with a vibrant and festive Campus Ride at UNLV, bringing together students, faculty, and locals for an afternoon filled with biking, community, and celebration. The event promotes sustainability and wellness on campus while showcasing the ease and accessibility of RTC Bike Share. Riders check in at a central location, receive safety tips and route maps, and spin the prize wheel before heading out on a relaxed loop around campus and the surrounding streets. What makes this ride especially meaningful is the sense of connection—students trying bike share for the first time ride alongside experienced cyclists, all sharing laughs, stories, and good vibes.
