Pedaling through History
RTC Bike Share and the Nevada Preservation Foundation are teaming up to help riders experience Las Vegas history from the best seat in town: a bicycle.
Earlier this year, we partnered with the Foundation for a community ride through Paradise Palms, one of the most legendary neighborhoods in the valley. Built in 1960 by developer Irwin Molasky, Paradise Palms was Las Vegas’ first master-planned community, designed by the same architects behind Palm Springs’ most iconic mid-century homes. Dean Martin, Debbie Reynolds, and Howard Hughes all called it home, and in 2021 it became Clark County’s first historic overlay district.
The Nevada Preservation Foundation works to protect and celebrate the places that tell the story of our city. Partnering with them allows us to show what bike share can really be: a way to slow down, explore, and connect with the community and history right in front of you.
Missed the January ride? You’ve got another chance. Join us and the Nevada Preservation Foundation on April 17 and 18 for another community ride exploring Las Vegas history by bike. Details are coming soon, so follow @RTCSNV on Facebook, Instagram, and X to be the first to know.
