DESCRIPTION:RTC Bike Share is closing out Biketoberfest with a ride through the haunted history of downtown. In partnership with the Nevada Preservation Foundation\, this free guided evening ride takes over downtown Las Vegas on the eve of Halloween. Where we’re going stays a secret until you’re on the bike. \nWhat to Expect: \n\nA guided evening ride through downtown Las Vegas after dark\nThe haunted history behind each stop\, told by the Nevada Preservation Foundation\nLED accessories at check-in so you glow through the streets\nA costume contest with prizes for the top three\n\nA dozen stops\, each with a story\, revealed the night of the ride. One of them might be the most haunted museum in America. \nBikes are available by RSVP only for riders ages 16 and older. Space is limited to 25 riders. Explore this custom-home neighborhood on the east side\, built by the Collins Brothers\, and discover striking midcentury architecture\, lush landscaping\, spacious lots\, and the fascinating stories of residents past and present. \nThe neighborhood is best known for the “Hammargren Home of Nevada History\,” where former resident and Lieutenant Governor Lonnie Hammargren assembled an eclectic collection of Las Vegas and world treasures. \nWhat You’ll Experience: \n\nA two-hour guided bike ride through the Paradise Crest neighborhood\nStriking midcentury architecture and custom homes\nLush landscaping and spacious lots\nStories of the neighborhood’s residents\, past and present\nA guided group ride led by the Nevada Preservation Foundation\n\nPlease note: This is a riding tour of the neighborhood and does not include entering any homes. \nCapacity is limited. Join our free\, beginner-friendly clinic and help support The Center’s community. \nRTC Bike Share and The Center are teaming up for a free Learn to Ride clinic and community donation drive. Whether you are learning for the first time or returning to it after years away\, our experienced instructors will work with you at your own pace\, in a safe and welcoming environment\, until you are riding on your own. \nWhat’s Included \n\nFree helmet to take home\nFree safety vest to take home\nFree monthly Bike Share pass\nAll bikes and equipment provided\nInstruction in English and Spanish\n\nOpen to ages 16 and older. \nSupport Our Community \nWe’re collecting donations for neighbors who rely on The Center. If you’d like to give back\, bring new\, unopened hygiene essentials or nonperishable food with you to the clinic.
